NomaD with Januarie York
Januarie York is a freelance writer, published author & poet who, in addition to performing original poetry on a regular basis, has produced several of her own spoken word theatrical shows that focus on uplifting and inspiring women. She has released two spoken word albums, one chapbook of poetry, one online magazine publication and currently operates her own blog, "The I Is Never Silent". She resides in Indianapolis, IN, where she is also an activist for various causes.
In this episode, JY unpacks the power of words, her love of poetry, and forthcoming book nomaD. She is very candid about her lessons in love and the breakup that inspired some her most vulnerable poems and blog posts. JY presents her truth like the wisdom of a loving relative as told through the art of poetry.
