DONT SLEEP Pillar 04.
Promoting a community that is economically, environmentally, and socially healthy and resilient. One, which meets challenges through integrated solutions rather than through fragmented approaches that meet one goal at the expense of the others.
The Black Business Bazaar; like the Black Owned Business Block Party, helps us fulfill this part of our mission by supporting the Fay Biccard Glick Community Center through Vendor donations, and offering a free Black owned marketplace for the community to patronize. Encouraging entrepreneurship and economic empowerment and health and wellness through not just material vendors, but Black health care providers as well.
Fay Biccard Glick Community Center
Fay Biccard Glick Neighborhood Center formerlly known as Crooked Creek Multi Service Center was established in 1984 as is one of 11 community centers within Marion County. A small staff provides wrap around services such as education classes, emergency assistance, quality childcare, and food and clothing pantry. FBGNC continues to service the Pike and Washington Township area as its needs grow and the community becomes highly diverse and growing community.
FBGNC mission statement is to promote civic, social, and personal responsibility in the Crooked Creek service area by providing quality services that enhance the lives of individuals and families.
